The Bradford Pothole Club (BPC) is an active caving club based in the Yorkshire Dales National park, one of the UK’s finest caving areas.
The Club’s headquarters is near Horton-in-Ribblesdale on the flanks of Pen-y-gent, one of the famous Yorkshire Dales Three Peaks.
As well as sport caving activities, the membership is active in underground exploration; digging, diving and extending known caves. BPC members are also active in many other outdoor sports including climbing, mountain biking, hillwalking and running.
We run the highly popular Gaping Gill Winch Meet every year over the Whitsuntide bank holiday week at the end of May. This event gives non-cavers the opportunity to explore Britain’s largest cave chamber, at the bottom of a 105m vertical shaft.
New members are always welcome at the BPC. If you’d like to find out more about caving with the BPC in the Yorkshire Dales and beyond simply get in touch.
